THE CAL ALUMNI CLUB OF OAKMONT (Sonoma County's only Cal Alumni Club)

The Cal Alumni Club of Oakmont was formed in 1984 and is a legal non-profit organization. The club recognizes alumni,
spouses, significant others, as well as "friends of CAL," many of whom have attended the University.

Informal dinners are held for members and friends of CAL at the Wild Oak Saddle Club in Oakmont.  These dinners offer
the opportunity to meet new and see old friends in a charming and relaxed atmosphere overlooking the Polo Field.  Our
special events dinners are held April and October with distinguished speakers from the University

The Club holds varied activities to suit the interests of our members.  The purpose is to take advantage of the cultural
and natural bounty of Sonoma County.  We visit a number of venues which may be in Petaluma, Glen Ellen, Sebastopol,
Kenwood, among others as well as those in or near Santa Rosa.

Through fundraising projects, club members actively support the Alumni Scholarship Fund which focuses on leadership
qualities, and The Achievement Award Program (TAAP).  Additionally, scholarships are awarded to SRJC students
accepted to CAL Berkeley. In 2017, the Club raised and contributed over $15,000

Whenever the CAL Band or Straw Hat Band comes to our Labor Day Picnic, funds raised during this event go to the Cal
Band scholarship fund.  In 2016, the Straw Hat Band numbering 39 performed at our Labor Day Picnic.

Come and join us for friendship, education, fun, and support for the University.
